[Yogi had never celebrated Christmas before, but that didn't mean he wasn't in the holiday spirit! He was excited that there was a holiday in which you could give gifts to others to make them happy.
Yogi had left a white gift bag with red tissue paper peeking out of it on Nai's doorstep. Inside the gift bag was a fuzzy white hoodie with bunny ears as well as a bunny plush that resembled the ones from back home. Also included in the gift was various chocolates and candies!
Merry Christmas, little Nai! I really hope you enjoy your gift, I put a lot of thought into it! ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* \(◕ω◕✿)/ *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
[ Whether you've been naughty or nice, Hong Kong wants you to have a very Merry Christmas and happiest holidays. The best way to do this, of course, is via eating sweets that have been lovingly and tenderly hand-crafted for you and by imbibing a little mulled wine. If you're underage, you get some apple cider. Which is just as festive! Warm it up, sit in front of your tree, and eat the heads off some gingerbread people as you wait for Santa to come knocking. Or sliding down your chimney, whichever. Included with the package is a card wishing you a "Happy Christmas!"
Nai's gift includes extra cider and some other homemade snacks, alongside a note that says they should have a picnic again once it gets warm! ]
[Merry Christmas! In Sweden's giftbasket, there will be an Ikea giftcard of $100, mulled wine (or Julmust, depending on your taste/age), gingerbread, knäck, and lussekatter. Hope you like sweets.
And especially for Nai, there will be a very cute, white stuffed bear. There will also be white gloves. STAY WARM, NAI. Along with it is a letter:]
Nai,
I hope you enjoy the gifts. If you would like to redeem the giftcard for money, you may do so. I hope to get to know you better with the new year.
[Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It is a time of generosity, and so Vietnam would very much like to share this. During work at the Honeybee Bakery Cafe, your assistant manager will be leaving a basket full of goodies for you at the back. One will discover some bánh quy bơ quế (butter cookies with the best Vietnamese cinnamon she can get her hands on), and an assortment of mứt (candied fruit preserves) for the New Year. A card is included:]
Nai,
Chúc Mừng Giáng Sinh! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
[Little kouhai...!! Setsuna left a gift box with light yellow wrapper. It's laced with a white ribbon, with a handwritten "To: Nai" card attached.
Inside, he'll be able to find a stationary set. It includes a cute diary, a light blue pencil, an eraser collection shaped like Japanese tea time food, and a keychain with a cafe drink appearance!
There's a white flower on top of the gifts, as well as a handwritten note:]
Nai, Merry Christmas.
Thank you for your continued thoughts of us. It is not difficult for anyone to realize that you always do your best, no matter what task is given to you. For that, I feel that Honeybee is lucky to have you.
I appreciate everything that you have contributed towards us, whether or not it is work-related. I look forward to our further days working together. Please, take care.
[ Inside the mailbox itself, he'll find a packet full of Cristmas cookies handmade by her... while at the mailbox's feet, there will be a medium-sized box wrapped in white paper with teddy bears drawn in it, and a golden ribbon on top.
Upon opening it, he will find a stacked-up series of small books titled "The Little Mermaid", "Little Red Riding Wood", and "Snow White" on them.
Also, a note. ]
One of these is the fairy tail I told you about the other day. Have a good read, and Merry Christmas.
[ Nai finds the angel very nice and pretty, he'll probably put it in the living room where everyone can see it. and share the food with his family as well! he's not quite sure what to do with the tickets at first so he'll... definitely be asking an adult yeah... ]
[ omfg all this food and ciders and...!! (wow appearing from the chimney is a little way too surprising) but he'll definitely remember to talk about a picnic once again when spring comes ]
[ omfg it's all too cute, he can't use those erasers in the cuteness...!!! but he'll definitely be putting that keychain with his keys. and he happily reads the note, glad he's able to be of an actual help to the cafe ]
[did not even get a chance to speak before he's drowning in the voice of an overly grateful (look at those exclamation marks!!) kid. he thinks he knows what this is about. hijikata snorts faintly.] Oi, kid. Breathe between your words. How come you sound more thankful than me anyway? You're making me look bad.
I'm under the impression that you were expecting a gift from me? Let me just say that Secret Santa is not allowed in the Shinsengumi barracks due to improper gift-giving and cold-shoulder fights caused by the receiving of crappy gifts.
We were non-operational all the way into the third week of January because these idiots were more busy starting gossip about each other and pulling pranks than actually working. We had to do a second occasion for gift-giving then, in order to avoid more unnecessary teenaged fight methods. Everyone got a Shinsengumi sausage snack, and that was that. Gift-giving has therefore been banned since.
